As a Gym Admin Volunteer, you will support the smooth running of The Brain Charity’s specialist NeuroGym by welcoming members, keeping accurate records, and assisting with basic administration tasks. You’ll help create a safe and supportive environment where people affected by neurological conditions can improve their health and wellbeing.
We would love for our volunteers to be able to attend at least 1 day per week for 4-7 hours per day although we know this may not always be possible.
Note: All volunteers with The Brain Charity require an Enhanced DBS certificate. The Brain Charity will arrange DBS certificates for all volunteers starting with the charity. Travel expenses reimbursed. Full role specific training and access to further training opportunities. 2 annual volunteer celebration events, opportunities to be involved in volunteer meetings, opportunities to represent the charity at external and internal events.

Key responsibilities:
- Welcome gym users and ensure they sign in and out.
- Provide information about gym facilities and activities.
- Keep accurate records, including bookings, attendance, and referrals.
- Answer telephone and in-person enquiries about the gym.
- Use basic computer skills for admin tasks, such as updating spreadsheets or gym records.
- Liaise with staff to ensure smooth communication between the gym and other departments.
- To liaise with / arrange Gym Induction sessions and reminders for weekly Neuro Physio appointments.
- Supporting clients with exercise equipment.
- Assist with gym equipment maintenance records.
- To generally motivate and encourage clients with their respective fitness/exercise goals.
