The warehouse job spec as follows:

  • Drives forklift and off loads deliveries (6-8 deliveries per day)
  • Very physically demanding role often handballing 16kg bags of flour and the like
  • Put goods received into appropriate areas (warehouse, Chiller, Freezer)
  • Rotates stock so that older dated products are put in front of newer stock (stock rotation)
  • Keeps warehouse clean and tidy
  • Organises packaging and keeps tidy
  • Ensures all incoming delivery dates / batch numbers are recorded on incoming goods list
  • Reports any poorly packaged or damaged items to the purchasing manager
  • Keeps packing room topped up with packaging boxes
  • Inputs daily received products and quantity into excel spreadsheet
  • Working on own initiative
  • Involved in stock takes
  • Could be required to assist the dispatch dept picking orders or customer deliveries
