Salary: £16.25 per hour plus enhancements for weekends, nights and bank holidays (up to £26.25 per hour).
Working Pattern: All shifts are 12.5 hours.
As a Crisis Support Worker, you will provide dedicated support to young people with severe challenging behaviours typically in residential settings, either as single occupancy, or dual/multiple occupancy. You will need to be resilient, patient, committed and passionate about providing care to those often at their most vulnerable time in their lives. Working as a team, you will provide effective and consistent support for young people working to provide world-class caring outcomes to the most vulnerable, whilst ensuring safeguarding is at the heart of everything you do. The role will require you to complete sleep-ins as and when required to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- At least 8 months experience as a support worker, health care assistant, or similar, working with significant challenging behaviour. This will be in either secure or residential settings.
- Be certified and have significant experience in intervention training (such as PMVA).
- A strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a good working knowledge of using IT equipment.
