JMP Selection's client, a leading mechanical and electrical assembly business, is seeking an experienced manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations within a busy production environment. Please note that this in on-site and you must have assembly experience within the electrical/mechanical industry. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality production output in line with customer requirements, engineering specifications, delivery schedules, and business performance targets. Key Responsibilities · Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Team Leaders and the wider production workforce to achieve agreed operational targets. · Take ownership of daily, weekly, and monthly production performance, ensuring products are manufactured and assembled safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. · Plan and coordinate labour, resources, workflows, and priorities to meet production schedules and customer delivery commitments. · Drive a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across all production areas, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements. · Work closely with Engineering, Scheduling, Quality, Procurement, Stores, Logistics, Maintenance, and Project teams to resolve constraints and improve operational flow. · Monitor key performance indicators including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, labour efficiency, rework, waste, and absence rates. · Identify production risks, bottlenecks, skills gaps, material shortages, quality issues, and capacity constraints, implementing corrective actions as required. · Champion continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing principles, root-cause analysis, and waste reduction activities. ·
