LOCATION: TYNE DOCK, SOUTH SHIELDS, TYNE & WEAR NE33 5SP

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Office based role

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm including 1/2-hour unpaid lunch break

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support the day-to-day coordination of customer orders, third party warehouse operations, transport bookings and returns and rework management. You will be a key link between customers, carriers and our external warehouse partners to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Book in deliveries and arrange transport.
  • Track orders and monitor day-to-day courier queries/POD requests (Asda ToYou, Royal Mail etc.)
  • Monitor communication between courier and 3rd Party warehouse, ensuring all collection times and any collection issues are dealt with as soon as possible.
  • Work with 3rd party warehouse with regards to all DC deliveries ensuring they have all the relevant delivery information, rework information, labels and paperwork.
  • Arrange reworks with 3rd party companies, ordering labels.
  • Arrange collection of Retail DC/Field Sales Team/Mail order returns.
  • Manage stock issues that may occur, investigate the issues with warehouse/adjustments on D365.
  • Ensure all daily/weekly/monthly reports/planners are kept up to date.
  • General filing and ad hoc duties as requested from time to time by line management.
Experience & Skills
  • Analytical skills – you should be able to demonstrate a level of proficiency in Excel, as well as strong administration, data entry skills and perform a high level of numeracy.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team with excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly written including dealing with “offshore” suppliers.
  • Ability to organise, categorise and reproduce detailed information with speed and efficiency, possessing high attention to detail, sometimes managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to think ahead, identifying issues and to offer solutions.
  • Have confidence to prioritise own workload without constant supervision.
  • Flexibility and willing to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Conscientious, responsible and a team player.
  • Able to build and maintain good supplier and people relationships.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Basic understanding of the core Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Planner).
