Salary up to £35k depending on experience, pro rata for part time hours. Office based in Poole, BH17 (hybrid working is not an option with this role).
A newly created Payroll & Finance position is available with my Poole based client. They can be flexible on hours; and will consider either Full Time or Part Time candidates. As this is dealing with weekly payroll, working Monday to Wednesday is a must, but they are open to adjusting working hours to accommodate school pick up etc.
- Part-time 3 days: Monday to Wednesday
- Part-time 4 days: Monday to Thursday and if required reduced hours
- Part-time 5 days: reduced hours
- Working hours (fulltime): 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 - 16:00 Friday with an hour lunch
Job Overview: The role will primarily work with the payroll manager processing weekly and monthly payrolls across different operating companies. This role will also provide support to the Finance department with the processing of employee expenses and monitoring and processing of company credit cards across the different operating companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weekly payroll: checking and updating clocking reports, liaising with various managers to ensure correct hours are captured, importing clocked hours into the payroll system, checking absences are correctly paid in line with company policy, producing weekly payroll for review, capturing weekly payroll reports.
- Monthly payroll: Producing monthly payroll.
- Provide cover to Payroll Manager during holiday periods.
- Employee expenses: processing monthly employee expenses both from manual claim forms and on SAP Concur for all companies within the group.
- Assisting with updating expenses policy.
- Company credit cards: Managing any employee enquiries, contacting Barclaycard to resolve queries, checking SAP Concur for completeness of employee claims and follow up any unprocessed claims. Also assisting with the posting of the credit card journal.
- Prepare monthly payroll journals for all companies within the group.
- P11Ds and PSA.
- Assisting Finance with other employee related tasks: payroll apportionments.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
Experience:
- Essential GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent including English and Mathematics.
- Demonstrate prior payroll experience.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Experience of working in payroll systems.
- Good working knowledge of databases and Microsoft packages.
- Exceptionally high standards with meticulous attention to detail.
- A flexible team player with the ability to work proactively.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- A self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic can do attitude and a down to earth approachable manner.
- A problem solver with the ability to assume responsibility and act on own initiative.
- Customer focused.
