JMK Group is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team at our Head Office in Harrow, London. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional with an interest in hospitality to play a key role in supporting financial operations across our Hotel portfolio.
Job Overview
The Senior Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting Group Finance across a number of finance functions. This role is responsible for assisting the Finance Team in the oversight of assigned development projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Functions
- Accounts Receivable – ensure all rental invoices are sent out on a timely basis and ensure rent is collected for all tenanted properties
- Accounts Payable – Ensure all invoices received for the UK Hotels and Development Properties are input onto SAGE on a daily basis
- Assistance in collating the weekly payment runs for each development and Head Office Costs
- Collation of invoices for the Commercial Finance Manager to prepare Drawdown requests for the funder
- Ensuring the Group Inter Company Balances reconcile on a monthly basis
- Treasury & Cash Management
- Prepare and issue the daily cash movements report
- Reconcile all bank accounts on a weekly basis
- Support Group treasury functions, including intercompany transactions and cash allocation.
- Commercial Finance & Group Reporting
- Preparation and submission of UK Group VAT Returns (Monthly and Quarterly)
- Assist in the preparation of the annual audit pack for each SPV in the UK Group
- Assist the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly payroll
- Preparation of Management Accounts on a monthly basis for the Group Management Company, Holding Companies and dormant companies
- Assisting the Group Financial Controller in the monthly consolidation process and Board Pack.
- Provide basic financial analysis, insight, and support to the stakeholders.
- Assist with the filing of annual returns with Companies House for all companies in the UK Group
- Assist with ad hoc financial tasks and projects as required by senior finance leadership.
- Operational Hotels Finance
- Work with the management accountant in the UK Head Office in the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack for each operational hotel
- Preparation of the Business Review Pack in conjunction with the Management Accountant and General Manager of each hotel with detailed explanation of all variances
- Bring in further cost efficiency strategies within the operational hotels
- Liaising with the General Manager in the preparation of the annual budget for the hotel
- Ensure strong adherence to financial controls, policies, and reporting standards.
- Support continuous improvements in financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified AAT or Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience with an interest in real estate/Hospitality
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365/Sage Line 50/Procure Wizard
