Job Description
We are looking for a General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing success of the dual-branded Aloft & Residence Inn by Marriott in Belfast’s iconic Titanic Quarter, opening in Q1 2025.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new hotel opening, where JMK Group will introduce two of Marriott’s most dynamic brands within one vibrant destination: Aloft, celebrated for its bold design and lively social energy, and Residence Inn, designed for longer stays with the comfort of a residential experience.
Position Summary
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the pre-opening, launch, and ongoing operations of the dual branded property. You’ll serve as the strategic business leader, ensuring operational excellence, brand integrity, and a culture that empowers associates and delights guests.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all pre-opening activities: hiring, training, systems implementation, brand standard alignment, and operational setup.
- Drive operational excellence across both brands, ensuring distinctive guest experiences that align with Aloft’s lifestyle identity and Residence Inn’s extended-stay ethos.
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team with a focus on associate engagement and retention.
- Manage financial performance, revenue strategies, and cost controls to maximize profitability.

Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience as a General Manager or senior hotel leader in a branded hotel environment.
- Pre-opening or conversion experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Marriott systems and tools is desirable
- Proven track record of delivering results across guest satisfaction, team engagement, and financial performance.
