We are looking for a motivated Health and Safety Adviser to join a busy operational site on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-to-junior level professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, supporting health and safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures on site
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend improvements
- Support incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions
- Promote a positive health and safety culture among staff
- Maintain records, documentation, and reporting in line with legal and company requirements
- Provide advice and guidance to management and site teams on HSE matters
Requirements:
- Relevant Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent)
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar operational or industrial setting
- Good understanding of UK HSE legislation and best practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, practical, and hands-on approach to health and safety
