About the Role

JMG Solutions is recruiting an experienced Construction Manager for a long-term client-side opportunity supporting the delivery of a major infrastructure and data centre development in West London. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile programme of civil and infrastructure works, with the potential to continue onto future phases of development within the same campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Principal Contractors and multiple subcontractor work packages.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage the delivery of civil and infrastructure works, including roads, drainage, earthworks, utilities and external works.
  • Review construction documentation and ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and CDM regulations.
  • Identify project risks and work proactively with project teams to resolve issues.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, statutory bodies and key project stakeholders.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to the client project team.
  • Support the successful delivery of complex construction programmes from commencement through to completion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on major UK construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure or enabling works.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK CDM Regulations and construction health & safety legislation.
  • Experience managing Principal Contractors and multiple subcontractors.
  • Strong programme management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to drive delivery and resolve issues in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working on data centre, mission-critical, utilities or major infrastructure projects.
  • Client-side construction management experience.
  • Relevant construction qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent).
  • SMSTS and CSCS certification.
