A firm of Chartered Accountants based in South East London is looking for a Payroll Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week working in the office.
Reporting to the Payroll Director and working in a close-knit payroll team, the Payroll Manager will be responsible for:
- Training and assisting with multi-company/country payroll operations on Sage payroll software
- Carrying out general payroll duties
- Training and developing 2 junior members of the team
- Keeping up to date with statutory requirements of matters relating to the administration of a PAYE scheme
- Assisting and calculating multi-pay frequency payrolls from start to finish, including any pay variables
- Accessing the HMRC portal and downloading/implementing new tax codes
- Administering various company pension schemes
- Providing monthly tax and NI payments and payroll reports to clients or accountants, whichever appropriate
- Administering new starters and leavers and processing the necessary forms appropriate to this i.e. P45 and Starter Declarations
This role would suit an experienced Payroller who has worked with multiple client payrolls. It would be beneficial if you have previous staff supervision although this is not a prerequisite. If this sounds like an interesting opportunity for you please apply as interviews will be held shortly.
