A unique opportunity to join a progressive business within the construction sector at a time of growth and product development. Our client is a very successful entrepreneur looking for a highly experienced commercial Senior Management Accountant/Business Partner to join him on his journey. This role is totally remote and initially one day a week, with the potential to grow to full time as the business scales up.

You will embrace the advantages that AI can bring to the finance function and will be responsible for implementing processes and procedures. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for:

  • Monthly management accounts and close for a construction subcontractor client
  • Cost-value reconciliation (CVR), work-in-progress (WIP) and contract-level reporting
  • Retentions tracking and CIS compliance considerations
  • Takes on quality-review and sign-off responsibility for every client then in place
  • Working closely with the CEO on developing the Product to market to the construction sector

Requirements of the Senior Management Accountant Role:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with a strong background in the construction sector
  • Commercially minded to bring ideas to the table
  • First rate systems skills, implementation and advanced Excel
  • Knowledge of and introduction of AI tools into the finance team
