JMF Associates is seeking a technically strong Group Reporting Accountant to join our successful SME client based in North Kent. This vacancy offers hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week working in the office.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in:

  • Managing group financial management information and reporting
  • Ensuring accurate group consolidation and compliance with FRS 102 standards
  • Leading the preparation of statutory and management reports
  • Coordinating with auditors, and supporting system consolidation projects

The role requires an energetic and strong communicator with excellent technical accounting skills, including management and statutory reporting, consolidations, and financial systems, particularly Excel. You will mentor finance team members, assist with budgets, and maintain KPI frameworks to support business growth and operational excellence.

The key criteria for this vacancy are:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred), with relevant UK management & statutory reporting experience
  • Preferably practice trained
  • Proven expertise in consolidations and group accounts
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting systems
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational abilities, including proven experience in engaging with team members to drive a business forward
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure

In return, this role provides the chance for the Group Reporting Accountant to be the technical accounting expert for the business. Become an influential participant in the SLT decision-making process. Be involved in other areas of Accounting, including FP&A.
