Due to succession planning, a new Head of Finance is sought by an SME business Services company based in North Kent. The role will take proactive responsibility for all financial processes, monitoring, and reporting for the company. This is a very 'hands-on' opportunity. You will be liaising with all departments across the business, and the wider Shareholders and Investors. The Head of Finance will support the Operational function and be critical to the future financial planning, decisions, and growth of the Company. Managing a team of four, the main responsibilities of the role include:
- Responsibility of the Head of Finance Role
- Month-end accounts preparation and reporting
- Year-end statutory and financial reporting under UK GAAP
- Establishing, reviewing, ensuring adherence, and reporting on the budgets for each department, sales, purchases, and overheads
- Work-in-progress controls and reporting
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Maintain a cash flow/forecast
Requirements of the Head of Finance Role:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
- Experience within an SME as a number one in finance
- First rate communication and systems skills
