Service Group based in North Kent have a fantastic opportunity for someone to operate at number one in finance, working very closely with the Managing Director and the Senior Leadership Team. This role requires someone with not only strong finance skills but also first rate commercial acumen. Someone who can demonstrate how they can add value to a business in terms of growth and investment. A real leader with the ability and expertise to advise the Board and work with the Sales Director in order to increase revenue.

Duties will include:

  • Full ownership of the monthly management accounts
  • Review of budgets working closely with the stakeholders
  • Oversee the finance team, training and development of staff
  • Balance sheet and month end reconciliations
  • Month-end accounts preparation and reporting
  • Year-end statutory and financial reporting under UK GAAP
  • Work-in-progress controls and reporting
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Maintain a cash flow/forecast, detailed financial planning and analysis
  • Working closely on operations with the MD

Requirements of the Head of Finance Role:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified
  • First rate systems and Excel skills
  • A proven Leader and experience in advising the Board
  • First rate communication skills

This role is OFFICE based.
