Our client in the hi-tech manufacturing sector is now looking for a highly experienced Financial Controller to join the team based at the Kent Head Office. The ideal person will be ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least 10 years PQE and ideally from a manufacturing background.
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating and developing the finance team
- Co-ordinating monthly management accounts, enhancing the format and presentation
- Overseeing the annual budget across all divisions, providing insight, challenge and support to the stakeholders
- Determining the impact of currency fluctuations for UK and overseas entities
- Providing financial insight to support the pricing framework and making improvements if required
- Detailed FP&A to support strategic decisions
- Overseeing the preparation of statutory annual accounts, liaising with the auditors
- Constant improvement of internal controls and working closely with the European and Middle East offices to ensure reporting requirements are met and are in line with global policy
Requirements of the Financial Controller role:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and a proven track record as Financial Controller/Manager
- Strong background in leading, motivating and upskilling a finance team
- Advanced Excel skills and first-rate analytical skills
- Background in working with stakeholders and overseas entities
