Our client is a well-established multi-disciplinary civil & utility contractor working for a diverse range of clients including TFL, Crossrail & London Underground. Renowned for taking on varied & technically challenging projects. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Permanent Technical/Project Manager to provide technical solutions and support across multiple projects and tenders, deliver complex technical presentations and advice.
Reporting to the Technical Director, key areas of responsibility include:
- Lead the technical design on the delivery of civil and structural engineering design services (including calculations, drawings, specifications and reports) for the preliminary, detail design and construction.
- Site visits and assessment of solutions in line with scope and design requirements.
- Prepare high quality technical reports, and ensure that quality and consistency of technical output.
- Produce technical briefs, sketches and designs to allow the production of construction and fabrication drawings.
Key requirements include:
- Understanding of Client Engineering assurance process such as GRIP, PACE, Pathways.
- Experience of TFL standards.
- Awareness of Thames Water Standards.
- Ability to search out, analyse and construct new ideas, adapt and take on new skills and approaches.
- The ability to understand complex technologies and designs.
- Knowledge of drainage, lining and civil engineering construction techniques.
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with extensive experience including leading a team in investigation assessment and design.
- Alternatively, a construction related qualification (HNC, HND, BSC, NVQ) with 10+ years experience in a related field.
- Chartered Engineer status (MICE or MIStructE).
- Current full driving licence.
