Are you someone who looks at a space and instantly imagines what could be built there? Do you have a technical mind, an eye for design, and the confidence to bring creative ideas safely to life? We’re looking for a Site & Module Specialist to join our client’s growing team – an opportunity that blends engineering precision with creative event branding. This is a brilliant role for a recent engineering, structural or design graduate (or someone with hands-on experience in event production, staging, rigging, or modular builds) who enjoys problem-solving, visualising structures, and turning ideas into real-world installations.
The Role — Site & Module Specialist
You’ll take ideas from concept through to construction, ensuring every branded installation is practical, safe, and visually impactful. Your day could include surveying a venue, sketching or reviewing CAD layouts, developing modular systems, and collaborating with designers and engineers to turn creative ambition into structural reality. You’ll work closely with the operations, creative, and fabrication teams — as well as the company’s structural engineering partner — ensuring installations are both imaginative and engineered with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and venue assessments, capturing accurate measurements, photos, and data.
- Evaluate venues to identify branding opportunities, assessing risk, safety, and feasibility.
- Develop, document, and maintain modular build systems and installation methods.
- Translate creative concepts into technical solutions that are achievable and safe.
- Collaborate with designers using CAD drawings and technical specifications.
- Liaise with fabricators and structural engineers to test, validate, and enhance designs.
- Support post-event reviews to refine future builds for safety, efficiency, and visual impact.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, structural, or design-related field – recent graduates welcome.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) or technical drawing interpretation.
- A practical mindset with strong problem-solving and spatial awareness.
- The ability to balance creative vision with engineering safety.
- Confidence carrying out site surveys and understanding build requirements.
- Organised, methodical, and detail-focused, with excellent accuracy.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively across technical and creative disciplines.
What’s on Offer
- Salary: Up to c. £32,000 per annum (DOE)
- 28 days’ holiday (incl. bank holidays) plus your birthday off
- Additional holiday with service (up to 33 days)
- Life assurance (3x salary)
- Wellbeing benefits including 24/7 GP, counselling, and health rewards
- £500 milestone bonus every 5 years of service
- Regular team events, celebrations, and recognition awards
- Company sick pay (after 2 years’ service)
- Ongoing training and development – with opportunities to grow your structural and engineering expertise in-house
This Role Could Suit Someone With a Background In:
- Engineering or Design – mechanical, structural, civil, or product
- Live Events – concerts, festivals, exhibitions, trade shows
- Event Production – staging, AV, lighting, or set builds
- Experiential Marketing – brand activations and promotional events
- Exhibition or Installation Builds – modular stands, signage, or branded environments
- Theatre & Stagecraft – rigging, set design, or backstage build teams
This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys both creative thinking and technical doing – someone who can see what could be built, and has the engineering understanding to make it happen safely and brilliantly.
