About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Material Administrator to support their planner buyer to manage controlled inventory and suppliers activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the materials open order book
- Expedite material to meet operational and maintenance requirements, resolve AOG and ADD\'s material requirements
- Work closely with suppliers
- Resolve material discrepancies
- Involvement in the goal setting process for the team and individually
- Negotiating best value and work on cost saving initiatives with suppliers
- In conjunction with the materials planner buyer, action materials buying plan, BOM amendments and performance measures for materials team, communicate as appropriate to suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Maintain and develop materials planning systems, processes and documentation
- Analyse data and produce business and statistical reports as required
- Identify and mitigate risks to material supply
- Responsible for updating SAP with information relating to material supply
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- MCIPS qualified (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply)
- Minimum 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade C or above, including English and Maths, HNC/HND
- Experience of working at an MRO or similar environment, within a materials supply function is desirable.
