56000 - 70000 per annum + Excellent Benefits Taunton, Somerset Permanent Contentious Probate Associate | 2+ PQE | Taunton or Exeter A well-established Legal 500 firm with a strong heritage across the South West is looking to appoint a Contentious Probate Associate into its growing specialist disputes team, based in either Taunton or Exeter.

Known for combining high-quality work with a genuinely supportive culture, the firm has built an enviable reputation across the region.

Following continued growth and the recent opening of a new office in a major city, this is an exciting time to join a business with real momentum and ambitious plans for the future.

Working alongside one of the region's leading Contentious Probate lawyers, you'll advise a broad client base including individuals, executors, trustees and charities on a wide range of inheritance and trust disputes.

The caseload includes challenges to the validity of wills, Inheritance Act claims, trust disputes, estate administration disputes, proprietary estoppel claims and wider contentious private wealth matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 2+ years' PQE looking to develop their expertise within a highly regarded specialist team.

You'll enjoy significant client exposure, responsibility from the outset and the support of experienced lawyers who are genuinely invested in your development.

The team is looking for someone with strong technical ability, excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Whether you're already specialising in contentious probate or have developed relevant litigation experience and are keen to build a long-term career in this area, you'll be given the platform to progress.

What really sets this opportunity apart is the firm's culture.

Despite its Legal 500 standing and continued expansion, it has retained the approachable, collaborative feel more commonly associated with much smaller firms.

Partners remain accessible, career progression is transparent and individuals are encouraged to shape their own path.

Alongside a competitive salary, you'll benefit from hybrid working, private healthcare, enhanced annual leave, an annual bonus and a flexible working environment that supports both professional development and work-life balance.

If you're looking to join a heritage firm where you'll gain exposure to high-quality contentious probate work without sacrificing culture or flexibility, this is an opportunity well worth exploring.
