The Role
This is an opportunity to join a highly respected name in the Scottish market, within a team that is at a time of continued growth within its Real Estate team in Edinburgh.
The firm is looking to welcome an experienced Real Estate – Senior Associate (5+ PQE) who thrives on the contractual and transactional side of Real Estate work and enjoys being closely involved in complex, high-value deals.
You will sit at the heart of the action, working alongside leading Real Estate specialists to advise a diverse commercial client base on acquisitions, disposals, developments and sophisticated leasing arrangements. From negotiating key contracts to steering transactions through to completion, you will play a pivotal role in delivering commercially focused solutions and helping clients achieve their strategic objectives.

The Work
- Advise clients on development projects, drafting and negotiating development agreements
- Review titles and lease documentation, preparing detailed commercial reports for clients
- Draft, negotiate and implement contracts for the sale and purchase of commercial property assets
- Lead on complex commercial leasing transactions, including drafting and negotiating leases and ancillary agreements
- Act as a key contractual advisor on property transactions from inception to completion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents and professional contacts
- Support and mentor junior team members in developing technical and commercial skills
- Manage a varied and high-quality commercial real estate caseload
- Contribute to business development initiatives and team growth
Your Experience
- 5+ years’ PQE in Scottish Real Estate with strong transactional experience
- Proven strength in drafting and negotiating property contracts and leases
- Experience advising on development agreements and complex commercial transactions
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload efficiently and commercially
- A proactive, confident and solutions-focused approach
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
