The Role
This role is designed for a Private Wealth Partner with significant experience in private client law, ideally with a focus on complex tax, asset protection, wealth planning, and succession.
You will have the opportunity to lead a build on an already high-performing team, with a clear trajectory to inherit the current head of department's substantial caseload and client base upon their retirement in around 5 years.
This unique position allows you to make your mark in a well-established, forward-thinking firm while securing a leadership role at the highest level. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of the private wealth team's future direction and provide strategic input into growing and evolving the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the current head of department to lead and manage the Private Wealth team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and other key clients.
- Advise on a broad range of complex private wealth matters, including wealth structuring, succession planning, asset protection, and complex tax issues.
- In time, you will inherit and grow the current head of department's client base and caseload upon their retirement.
- Play a key role in the firm's growth and future direction, with a focus on maintaining its innovative reputation in the market.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and marketing efforts to further expand the Private Wealth practice.
Requirements:
- Experience: Extensive experience in Private Client law with a focus on wealth management, tax planning, and succession (roughly 7+ years PQE).
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage and mentor junior team members, with a strategic vision for growing and developing a department.
- Client-Focused: Strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees, with the ability to manage complex, international client matters.
- Business Development: A proactive and driven approach to networking, client acquisition, and expanding the firm's market presence.
- Succession-Ready: A long-term view to take over as the head of department within 5 years, ensuring the continued success and growth of the team.
