The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Wealth Partner (8+ years PQE) to establish and grow the Private Client Advisory team in the Bristol office. This role will focus on domestic work, advising high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and owner-run businesses on tax planning, succession, estate management, and related matters. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, nurture existing relationships, and help drive business development efforts as the team expands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is not just an excellent lawyer but also a dynamic business developer with a passion for building client relationships and driving growth. The firm is open to candidates based outside of Bristol, provided they are willing to travel to the office as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Management and Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients, providing tailored legal advice on succession planning, tax, wills, trust administration, and estate management. Expand client relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling additional services.
  • Legal Expertise and Advice: Stay updated on developments in private client law and provide exceptional legal advice. Advise clients on tax mitigation, trust structuring, and estate planning.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire junior lawyers in a collaborative work environment, ensuring efficient service delivery and supporting their professional growth.
  • Business Development and Strategy: Drive the firm\’s growth in Bristol through active business development, networking, and participation in marketing initiatives. Contribute to the strategic direction of the Private Client team, leveraging local networks and industry contacts to raise the firm\’s profile.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure activities comply with legal and regulatory standards, manage risks, and maintain accurate client records.
