The role involves hiring a Media and Entertainment Partner to join their thriving office based in the heart of the City of London. You will be joining an established team of three within the media and entertainment department and will work closely with the corporate commercial team. The department deals with a mix of both contentious and non-contentious work - as such the Head of Department is open to candidates from either side that may complement the department. The Media and Entertainment department is currently thriving and busy.
You will work with a broad client base spanning actors, producers, writers, directors, games creators, content creators and influencers, models, musicians and publishers. The work the department does includes sponsorship agreements, film financing, reputation management, endorsements and merchandising, contracts, licensing and breach of contract.
You will work as part of a dynamic, friendly and heavy hitting team who are all very passionate about media law. You will lead the department with the other partner, as well as mentoring and developing the team. You will work on strategy, planning and business development. This role could prove to be a good opportunity for an ambitious senior associate seeking a pathway for career progression, potentially in a top-heavy team.
You should be a Media and Entertainment Lawyer with at least 7 years PQE (no limit regarding the amount of experience, and candidates from both a contentious and non-contentious background are encouraged to apply). Salary will be competitive and dependent on your background and experience.
