This opportunity sits within a Tier 1, L500-ranked Real Estate Energy team, working on some of the UK’s most exciting and large-scale projects across offshore and onshore wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen and major infrastructure developments. You will advise leading developers, investors and public bodies on high-value transactions spanning Scotland and the wider UK market, gaining exposure to truly market-leading work alongside some of the sector’s most respected lawyers. Whether you are already based in Scotland as an English/Welsh qualified solicitor or considering a strategic relocation, this role offers the rare chance to accelerate your career while enjoying everything Scotland, and Glasgow in particular, has to offer.
The Work
- Advise developers, investors, funders and public bodies on major energy and infrastructure projects
- Act on the property aspects of project development, financing, acquisitions and disposals
- Work across a broad range of sectors including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen, transmission infrastructure, interconnectors and EV projects
- Draft and negotiate complex real estate documentation for nationally significant developments
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across planning, corporate, finance and construction teams
- Manage a varied caseload spanning high-value UK-wide transactions
- Build and develop strong client relationships with FTSE 100 companies, household-name brands, SMEs and public sector bodies
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the Real Estate Energy practice
Your Experience
- 4-8 years’ PQE in Real Estate, with experience in energy and infrastructure projects
- Qualified in England & Wales or dual-qualified in both Scotland & England/Wales
- Strong technical ability with a commercial, solutions-focused mindset
- Genuine interest in the energy and infrastructure sector
- Confident in managing complex matters and engaging directly with clients
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working in a high-performing environment
