About the Team

Highly regarded Employment team within a national, award-winning firm with a strong UK presence. Acts for prominent employers across sectors such as technology, media, sport, retail, financial services and professional services. Handles the full spread of employment work, from day-to-day HR support to complex litigation, strategic projects and cross-border mandates. Partners and senior lawyers are recognised in leading legal directories and are known for being approachable, hands-on and commercially astute. Collaborative, supportive culture where senior lawyers actively train and mentor junior and mid-level solicitors, with a strong focus on knowledge sharing and innovation.

About the Role

This role is well-suited to an ambitious and well-rounded Employment Solicitor. The role will involve:

  • Working on a wide range of employment issues, from everyday HR advisory work to complex strategic projects.
  • Supporting on Employment Tribunal claims and other contentious matters, including discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal.
  • Advising on TUPE, reorganisations, redundancies and collective consultation exercises.
  • Assisting on collective matters and large-scale workforce changes for major employer clients.
  • Managing a varied and intellectually engaging caseload for high-profile, often multi-jurisdictional clients.
  • Working directly alongside leading partners and senior lawyers, gaining close supervision, meaningful responsibility and regular client contact.

You will be given the tools, training and autonomy to develop quickly, with the backing of a firm known for its strength in employment law and its commitment to developing its people.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • NQ solicitor, with experience across core areas of employment law.
  • The ability to turn your hand to a broad range of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a close-knit, cross-office team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy, varied caseload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and empathetically with clients and colleagues.
  • A motivated, ambitious mindset and a desire to develop your expertise within a leading employment-focused firm.
