A Tier 1 Licensing department is looking for a Paralegal to join their expanding team in their brand-new Edinburgh office.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Licensing Paralegal to join a highly ranked, UK-wide law firm in their brand-new Edinburgh office. This is a chance to become part of a Tier 1 team that is nationally recognised for its work in the licensing sector. With recent expansion into Edinburgh, the firm is continuing its growth journey and offering excellent career development opportunities.

The Licensing Team advises an impressive range of clients, including well-known hospitality groups, high-street retail brands, fuel and service station businesses, national sports venues and associations, professional football organisations, prominent figures in the food industry and major retail and leisure complexes. This diverse client base offers a unique and stimulating working environment where no two days are the same.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting various licensing applications under Scottish and UK legislation, including the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 and the Gambling Act 2005.

Your work will involve drafting documentation for committee appearances, managing diary deadlines, engaging directly with clients and contributing to both routine and strategic projects such as multi-site applications. You will also support the wider UK licensing team and may be involved in delivering client training as required.

This is an opportunity for a motivated Paralegal with licensing experience to work with a leading team in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Your Experience

  • A Paralegal or Senior Paralegal who is eager to advance their career
  • Licensing experience is a plus but not mandatory
