The firm is seeking to hire an Immigration Partner into their City office, close to Liverpool Street station, London. The Immigration department currently consists of a team of two. The Managing Partner of the firm is also the head of immigration, he also has an associate working alongside him. The department is currently very busy. The Managing Partner wants to in time hand the department over to this new partner, to allow him to focus more on the overall running of the firm, in recent years the firm has doubled in size to 45 staff and his time is being stretched. At this point you would naturally inherit his life’s work and client base.

The department currently deals with quite an even mix of both business and private immigration, it is all privately funded work. The corporate and employment departments deal with a good quality of work and naturally there is a lot of cross-pollination. The Head of Department believes there is such a big opportunity for the new partner to grow this department and expand on current revenue streams. The department receives nearly all of their work from referrals, the department has an excellent reputation for delivering great service and value to their clients.

The team more generally is friendly, professional with great team spirit, there is a nice social aspect too with quarterly events/dinners, designed to help bond and solidify the team further. You should be an ambitious candidate that relishes in the challenge of building and developing a conveyancing department. You will be an Immigration Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE + (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience). Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your background.
