A growing and ambitious L500 firm in Edinburgh is seeking a talented Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join a newly established team. This role presents a rare opportunity to build and develop a high-net-worth client base under the leadership of a newly hired Partner with a strong reputation in the market. The successful candidate will benefit from the structure, resources and national reputation of an established residential conveyancing department, whilst playing a central role in shaping the team’s future in the capital.

About the Team

The Partner is known for building warm, collegiate environments that people enjoy working in and where they are empowered to develop and progress their careers alongside expert mentorship. You will support them in managing and further developing an exceptional client base across Edinburgh with a focus on high-net worth clients, large-scale transactions and, resultantly a high-quality, lower volume caseload. There are two roles available, one at Senior Solicitor/Associate level and the other at Senior Associate Level.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position within a dynamic residential property department. The post-holder will:

  • Act for clients in all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of title.
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients and manage transactions from instruction to completion.
  • Work closely with the Partner leading the Edinburgh team to support business growth and deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Take ownership of case progression, client communication and quality control, ensuring matters are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 2-5 years' post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing for one role and 4-8 PQE for the more senior position.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
  • A proactive mindset and a desire to contribute to business development and team success.
