About the Role

This role is well-suited to an ambitious Procurement lawyer seeking to step up in quality, profile and progression. The role will involve:

  • Advising household-name clients on the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
  • Drafting and negotiating tender documentation and related commercial contracts.
  • Advising on compliance, risk mitigation and challenges arising throughout procurement processes.
  • Acting on complex, often multi-party and politically sensitive procurements across a range of sectors.
  • Working closely with renowned colleagues to develop both your technical expertise and client relationship skills.
  • Playing a key role in the growth and positioning of the Edinburgh procurement offering.

You will be given the autonomy, support and headroom to develop towards Legal Director and Partner, within a team that actively invests in your long-term career.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years’ PQE as a solicitor with strong experience in procurement and commercial contracts.
  • The ability to manage complex, varied workloads to a consistently high standard.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with first-rate interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, innovative and value-adding mindset.
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a close-knit, high-performing team.
