Role
Highly ranked by the Legal 500, you will work as part of this renowned and quickly growing Banking and Finance team with colleagues from across the UK. Clients include some of the most highly regarded investors and financial institutions in the country. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of these clients and build a strong reputation as an expert in banking and finance law. Your main duties will include:
- Supporting clients in the creation of new products and services by offering comprehensive regulatory guidance, from product structuring and agreement drafting to communications and complex system development.
- Ensuring you are working closely with Partners to support junior team members' professional development.
- Aiding clients in implementing regulatory obligations, including those related to BNPL, consumer credit, and payment reforms.
- Presenting at client events and various conferences.
- Providing assistance when things don’t go as planned, including evaluating regulatory challenges and developing remediation strategies.
- Actively undertaking business development activities with potential clients and working closely with Partners to grow the department.
- Helping clients navigate general regulatory compliance, including compliance with Consumer Duty and consumer protection laws.
