Join a firm that has all the hallmarks juniors want but rarely find: Legal 500 recognition, a genuinely supportive culture, serious high-value litigation, and partners who actually make time to develop you. This regional practice has built its reputation across the South East by combining top-tier work with a people-first way of operating, and its junior lawyers are at the centre of that success, not sidelined by it.
Now picture starting your career somewhere that treats you as part of the team from day one. Where your caseload includes meaningful Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury matters, not just admin. Where you're encouraged to ask questions, take ownership and grow with proper supervision rather than being left to figure everything out alone. That's the experience on offer in their Southampton office. The team is expanding and they're looking for an NQ-1 year PQE solicitor who wants early responsibility, high-quality work and a firm that will invest in their long-term development.
The Role
You’ll work closely with experienced partners and senior associates on a mix of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury cases. It’s a team that takes on everything from delayed diagnoses and surgical errors to catastrophic injury and complex liability disputes. You’ll take on your own files, assist on larger claims and get involved in everything from investigations and expert evidence to negotiations and settlement discussions. The team is busy, supportive and well structured, giving you the right blend of independence and guidance as you grow.
Why This Firm
- High-quality work: A steady stream of complex, life-changing matters with the backing of a strong Legal 500 reputation.
- Genuine development: Direct partner access, structured supervision and clear progression from day one.
- A collaborative team: Supportive colleagues who share knowledge and champion junior talent.
- Modern, flexible culture: A firm that trusts its people and invests properly in long-term careers.
- Regional strength, personal feel: Offices across the South East, but still human, approachable and connected to local communities.
