A leading Top 100 law firm is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join their rapidly growing team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality legal advice and exceptional client service while contributing to the team\’s marketing and business development efforts.

Are you an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor looking for a new challenge in a prestigious law firm? We are seeking a skilled and motivated solicitor to join our growing Dispute Resolution team in Oxford.

About the Role :

In this role, you will handle a varied caseload of contentious probate matters, including disputes over wills, trusts, inheritance claims, and estate administration. You will work closely with high-net-worth individuals, executors, trustees, and beneficiaries to provide expert legal advice and representation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Managing a caseload of contentious probate matters, including disputes under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Advising clients on claims involving undue influence, lack of capacity, and will validity challenges
  • Representing clients in mediation and litigation proceedings
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court applications
  • Providing strategic and commercially focused advice to clients
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to provide a seamless service
  • About You

  • 0 – 5 PQE with experience in contentious probate litigation
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
  • A client-focused approach with outstanding communication skills
