Construction Associate / Senior Associate
An opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a well-regarded Construction, Infrastructure & Projects team based in Cardiff. The team has a UK-wide reputation and acts for clients involved in construction, engineering, and energy-related projects and disputes. It is ranked Tier 1 in all major legal directories.
About the Team
The team advises a diverse client base, including central and local government, developers, contractors, funders, housebuilders, housing associations, banks, and construction professionals. It also works closely with technical consultants across the construction and engineering sectors, handling both transactional matters and disputes.
Notable recent work includes representing a national government in a high-profile infrastructure dispute and advising on contracts related to a major UK nuclear power project. Clients include leading developers, contractors, financial institutions, and public sector organisations.
The Role
This role is ideal for an Associate or Senior Associate looking to support a growing pipeline of both contentious and non-contentious construction work. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and junior lawyers and may have the opportunity to manage their own matters, depending on experience.
The position requires familiarity with JCT and NEC standard form contracts and confidence in dealing with adjudication and litigation.
