The Opportunity:
- Join a specialist Construction & Engineering team embedded within a strong real estate and development practice.
- Work across the full lifecycle of construction projects, from procurement and contract drafting through to disputes and resolution.
- Advise developers, housebuilders, operators and infrastructure clients on complex, commercially significant schemes.
- Handle a true mix of non-contentious construction work alongside defects, payment and delay disputes as projects evolve.
- Be involved early, stay involved throughout, and see the real-world impact of your advice.
The Work You'll Be Doing:
- Drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC and bespoke construction contracts.
- Advising on professional appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and third-party rights.
- Supporting major development, care, retirement, marine and infrastructure projects.
- Handling contentious construction issues including defects, termination, payment disputes and adjudications.
- Working closely with real estate, planning, marine and disputes colleagues as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
