This firm situated in central Brighton has been established for over 50 years and is well known throughout the local area. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer (either qualified or an experienced Fee Earner) to join them. You'll be working in a team of 5 headed up by a Residential Property Partner who is highly regarded in Sussex.
The firm is a respected and long-established high street law firm located in the heart of Brighton. With a history of providing exceptional legal services to our local community, they pride themselves on their friendly, client-focused approach.
As a Residential Conveyancer, you will handle a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion. Your caseload will be manageable at around 40-50 matters and focus on quality over quantity with adequate support. Experience or knowledge of commercial leases or commercial property would be advantageous, although by no means essential. You will work closely with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned conveyancer who enjoys working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and lease extensions.
- Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
- Conducting thorough due diligence, including title checking and resolving any issues that arise.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Providing high-quality, client-focused legal advice and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Managing transactions efficiently to meet deadlines.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in residential conveyancing; you will either be a Conveyancing Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Fee Earner.
- Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes, property law, and related regulations.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently from instruction through to completion, with excellent organisational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and a client-centric approach.
- Proficiency with conveyancing case management systems and IT skills.
- A proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
