The RoleYou’ll take a key position within the firm’s Southern Employment team, working closely with senior leadership to expand the practice and support a broad client base. You’ll have the freedom to drive growth, develop your own profile and help shape the direction of the team. Your work will cover the full range of employment law, acting primarily for employers across sectors like tech, retail, aviation, education, hospitality and sport.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and grow the Employment offering in Brighton and across the wider region
- Manage a diverse caseload of high‑quality contentious and non‑contentious matters
- Advise clients on tribunal claims, complex HR processes, TUPE, redundancies and employment documentation
- Support corporate transactions with employment law expertise
- Build strong, lasting relationships with UK and international businesses
- Mentor and guide junior lawyers, helping develop the next generation of talent
- Drive business development and contribute to the firm’s popular client events and seminars
- Senior Employment Solicitor with significant post‑qualification experience (Legal Director level or ready to step up)
- Strong technical background across contentious and advisory work
- Confident handling tribunal claims, internal HR processes and corporate support
