A highly regarded London law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property / Trade Marks Associate (4-7 years PQE) to join its established Intellectual Property team. This firm has a strong reputation for advising high-profile clients on brand protection, trade mark strategy, and intellectual property enforcement, offering excellent exposure to top-tier work.

The Role

The successful candidate will handle a varied and complex caseload, including:

  • Advising on trade mark and design availability, registration, and portfolio management
  • Developing trade mark enforcement strategies and handling disputes
  • Managing UK and international trade mark filings
  • Drafting and negotiating trade mark-related agreements
  • Advising on brand protection, licensing, and commercialisation
  • Representing clients in trade mark proceedings where necessary
  • Supporting business development initiatives and mentoring junior team members

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Intellectual Property Solicitor (England & Wales) and/or UK Trade Mark Attorney
  • 4-7 years’ PQE in IP / trade mark law, ideally within a leading London practice
  • Strong technical expertise and commercial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied workload with a high level of accuracy
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
