This leading law firm in London is seeking a 3-6 PQE Associate to join the Construction team, a key part of the firm’s wider practice. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with experience in primarily non-contentious construction law. If you are also experienced in contentious matters, your experience on that side may be called upon when required but this role is focused predominantly on the non-contentious matters.
You will be managing a varied and challenging caseload that includes drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, and more. It is not a pre-requisite, however, any experience you might have in building safety matters would be an advantage - however, if you don’t then this is something the Head of Department is very happy to teach meaning this could be a great chance for someone looking to broaden their experience and develop these skills. You will also have the opportunity to assist in business development, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the team’s growth. This is an ideal role for an Associate with a proven track record in construction matters, part of a very experienced and friendly team!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of non-contentious construction matters.
- If you’re experienced in contentious matters as well, this experience may also be called upon but this role is focused on non-contentious construction primarily.
- General non-contentious construction drafting is the main focus.
- Assist senior partners and colleagues with client matters.
- Take a proactive approach to business development and foster client relationships.
- Keep up to date with changes in the law and engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
