About the Role

On behalf of our client, a UK Independent organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Certifying Engineer to sign off routine maintenance, inspections and service bulletins on CFM56 and LEAP Series Aircraft Engines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft engines and components in line with approved procedures
  • Certify completed work in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet airworthiness, safety, and quality standards
  • Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and engineering drawings
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and implement corrective actions
  • Complete and sign off maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal quality systems
  • Liaise with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
  • Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as required
  • Ensure compliance and Health and Safety procedures as required
  • Follow technical drawings/procedures as needed
  • Keep relevant records updated

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry
  • Previous experience gained working in an engine shop or aircraft MRO
  • Ability to act as certifying staff for engine maintenance and release to service
  • Experience performing maintenance on the following engine types would be advantageous: CFM, LEAP, V2500
  • Competency to follow appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual procedures
  • Demonstrate required knowledge of Quality Procedures, as well as EASA/FAA Part 145 requirements and procedures
  • A sound computer literacy with a basic understanding of the Microsoft Office applications

Desirable:

  • B1.1/C License holder
