About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker to support their base maintenance activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved drawings and maintenance data, taking full accountability for the technical integrity of all work performed
- Complete strip/removal of major structural aircraft equipment
- Interpret technical manuals, technical drawings and regulatory requirements
- Installation of complex structural assemblies
- Working to fine tolerances and high standards
- Use sealants, various fasteners and bonding techniques as per technical standards
- Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Candidate Requirements:
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in aeronautical engineering or military equivalent
- Live aircraft sheet metal/structural experience
- Excellent knowledge of airframes
- Right to work in the UK
- Subject to UK security vetting
