JMC Aviation are working with an Engine MRO company based in Slough, looking to recruit a new Senior Buyer to join their team.

Due to continued expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join the team, supporting the company as they continue to provide both on and off site services, leading the market with their unrivalled specialist engine handling equipment. Holding both EASA and FAA approvals, the company continue to pride themselves on quality, flexibility and professionalism.
This is a Permanent Position based in Slough, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Salary and Benefits:
– Competitive Salary

– Death in service cover (3x basic salary)
The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to efficiently deliver the parts / spares requirements of the business to improve the efficiency on turnaround times of work
Other duties involve:
– Be single point of contact for all purchasing requirements of the business
– Manage all vendor contracts and relationships
– Take ownership of minimum stock control
– Provide parts progress chasing and updates for team to best turn around work shop tasks.
– Direct report / manager for customs & logistics and stores teams.
– Take ownership of the PO process, raise and manage POs
– Perform Vendor audits to remain compliant with company approvals.
– Budgetary control of stock
– Provide customs and logistics cover for import and export activities when customs and logistics staff are on leave.
– Communicate regularly with production so that part ETAs can be used to correctly allocate resources across the business
– Report directly to CTO / CFO / CEO on department
Skills and experience required:
In order to be successful in this role the Senior Buyer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Right to live and work in the UK
– Background in purchasing/procurement
– Aviation knowledge desirable
– Experience in a similar role advantageous
