About the Role:
The role holder will report to the Mechanical, Seat and Cargo Bay Team Leader and the primary purpose of the job will be the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, part replacement and re-assembly of aircraft seats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming components to assess repair needs and utilize SRM, AMM, and CMM to identify suitable repair solutions.
- Prepare repair scope reports and generate BOM for procurement, ensuring supplier compliance for spares and consumables before purchase.
- Certify and release completed repairs in accordance with assigned ratings, contractual obligations, and CAAS regulations.
- Conduct final inspections and issue ARC for components being returned to service.
- Maintain precise documentation of all maintenance work, ensuring proper handling, preservation, and storage of components throughout the repair process.
- Support First Article development for Part 145 projects and ensure workshop compliance with 5S and EHS standards.
- Track and manage the calibration of tools and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage part sourcing, ensuring timely availability of spares for ongoing and future projects.
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a C6 qualified Seat Repair Technician
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in trimming and upholstery in aviation or automotive
- Understanding of commercial aerospace working practices
- Right to work in the UK
