Planning Engineer

JMC Aviation is working with a Maintenance Repair Organisation based in Oxford, looking to recruit a new Planning Engineer to join their team.

This MRO is a leading private aviation entity, specialising in both fixed wing and rotorcraft operations.

This is a Permanent Position based in Oxford, UK.

Working onsite, Monday to Friday.

The Role

The primary purpose of this to liaise with the operator to assess and coordinate maintenance requirements.

Other Duties Involve

• Identify and source tooling and materials required to support maintenance activities
• Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance work packs
• Draft logbook certificates in accordance with regulatory standards
• Review completed work packs for compliance with relevant regulations
• Integrate operator maintenance programmes into MRO software systems
• Provide planning support throughout the maintenance lifecycle
• Monitor and report on labour budget utilisation during maintenance inputs
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient execution of maintenance tasks
• Drive improvements in planning processes, including time booking and work pack completion
• Support technology upgrades and process enhancements

In order to be successful in this role the Planning Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes

• Proven technical background within the aviation sector
• Prior experience in a planning or maintenance coordination role within an MRO environment
• Strong understanding of aviation maintenance standards and regulatory compliance
• Proficient in the use of MRO software systems
• Right to live and work in the UK
