About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, JMC Aviation is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support ongoing operations in Paisley, Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, fast-paced organisation with a strong focus on compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective control measures are implemented.
  • Manage COSHH documentation and ensure chemical safety compliance.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, including root cause analysis.
  • Provide advice and guidance on health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of safety improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience in Health & Safety roles within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, COSHH, and incident investigation procedures.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Experience within the aviation, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Ability to influence and promote a strong safety culture across teams.
