JMC are working with a leading Aviation MRO based in Farnborough, looking to recruit a new Maintenance Team Lead to join their team. This is a Permanent Position based in Farnborough. This is working a 4 on/4 off shift pattern, on either days (7am – 7pm) or nights (7am – 7pm) dependant on the candidates preference.

Duties involve
- Perform maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
- Plan, schedule and complete tasks in order to meet service/delivery schedules.
- Review daily job charging to ensure accuracy of charges to aircraft.
- Assess strengths and weaknesses of team members. Apply strengths for maximum job efficiency and provide guidance and growth opportunities to reinforce developmental areas. Provide diverse learning opportunities.
- Ensure all required components are ordered for timely availability.
- Send items out for rework/repair as needed. Receive and inspect upon return.
- Perform engine runs on aircraft as required.
- Assist in maintaining work schedules and updating of CMP cards.
- Manage the work distribution to the team, define priorities as instructed by the STM, ensure communication with the team and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes (ASCs), Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information and all other procedures, publications and general knowledge pertaining to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
- Assist with performance appraisal of team members.
Skills and experience required
- Suitably experienced within Aviation Engineering environment
- Recognised Aviation Apprenticeship
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and heavy maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Ideally have some supervisory experience, however this is not essential.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
