JMC Aviation is working in collaboration with STS Aviation, looking to recruit a new Check Manager to join their team based in Manchester .
STS Aviation is a leading MRO dealing with base maintenance as well as interior modifications, fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This is a Permanent Position based in Manchester, UK .
Monday to Friday, working either early shift, 07:00 to 15:00 or late shift, 15:00 to 23:00.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the allocated maintenance inputs and retaining oversight of the maintenance tasks to ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Duties Involve
- Delivering allocated maintenance inputs, projects and company initiatives to schedule
- Assisting Base Maintenance Management Team as required
- Line management of all staff within their agreed area of responsibility
- Issuing certificates of release to service for the specific aircraft type within the scope of limitations
- Allocating tasks and responsibilities
- Maintaining a log of progress against task
- Providing and delivering daily production briefings
- Updating senior management as required
- Developing solutions to deliver maintenance to target within any budget constraints set
- Ensuring a daily progress report is issued for the aircraft under maintenance
In order to be successful in this role the Check Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes
- Category B license with C certification
- Ideally C certified on B777 and/or A320 type rating, however open to other commercial types
- Extensive base maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 Certifying Engineer
- Right to live and work in the UK
