Fleet Performance Engineer — Manchester (Permanent)

An airline based in Manchester is looking to recruit a Fleet Performance Engineer to join their Maintenance Control Team.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position based in Didsbury, Manchester, supporting a fleet of Embraer E190 aircraft with a focus on reliability, technical performance, and on-time operation.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and develop the preventative maintenance programme and lead the predictive maintenance philosophy for the fleet, with a focus on maximising aircraft reliability and supporting safe, on-time operations.

Other duties involve

  • Use multiple data sources to identify maintenance tasks required outside of (or in addition to) the scheduled maintenance programme to protect the flying programme
  • Communicate requirements to line and base engineering teams via Engineering Technical Requirements and work instructions, ensuring actions are issued in time to address repetitive, latent, and active defects
  • Maintain a continued focus on Technical Dispatch Reliability, supporting delivery of company targets from an operational and reliability perspective
  • Develop, maintain, and present operational and performance reports
  • Act as a technical expert on the fleet, supporting the Maintrol Team with ad-hoc shift cover, troubleshooting guidance, and support on complex/repetitive defects
  • Collaborate with Safety Services and Air Ops teams to review Flight Data conditional events, interpreting flight data recorder outputs to determine engineering follow-up actions

Qualifications and requirements:

  • CAA Part-66 B1/B2 licence or equivalent engineering technical qualification
  • Embraer E190 type rating, or experience in a similar technical support / technical services role
  • Working knowledge of CAA/EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M, and Part 145 requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Technical Services experience, including continued airworthiness / practical maintenance support
  • Knowledge of airline business, regulatory, and operating environment
