JMC Aviation are working with an FBO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new B1 Licensed Engineer to join their team. This client is well known for outstanding levels of service in their FBO facility. As a family run business with multiple decades of experience, they strive for excellence throughout their skilled workforce as they deal with in-house engineering and support services on business jets. This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted.
Working a 4/5/5/4 day shift rota, 7am - 7pm.

The Role
Working with the Head of Maintenance, the B1 Licensed Engineer will be responsible for the day to day management of the aircraft maintenance inputs and projects and the certification of all maintenance inputs in accordance with the current certification privileges. Other duties involve:
- Managing a team of assigned engineers of various skills with regards to maintenance inputs/projects
- Ensuring that the allocated team meet with financial, commercial and engineering targets
- Hold company approvals for aircraft type engine run up authorisation
- Communicating the progress of inputs/projects on a daily basis by written reports and daily meetings
- Liaison with the hangar management with regards to progress, manpower, critical path and third party requirements
- Liaison with support services for spares procurement, shortage reports, repair and technical information
- Authorising of repair requests and high cost spares
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant company and Health and Safety procedures
- Ensure staff are properly directed, have comprehensive work instructions and are adequately briefed on each activity and understand the quality system
- Carry out quality monitoring of all scheduled and non-routine work cards to ensure a final release to service can be issued in a timely manner
- Ensuring adequate handovers between shifts and departments is carried out
- Liaise with customer representatives and carry out any customer requests during a check input.
In order to be successful in this role the B1 Licensed Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Full unrestricted UKCAA B1 License Typed and current on at least one of the following (EMB 135/145 (Legacy 600/650), EMB Lineage 1000 (EMB 190), Legacy 500 (Preator), Phenom 100, Phenom 300, Challenger 604/605, Bombardier Global BD700)
- Possess a Competent Authority Recognised Part 147 Type Course
