JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Brize Norton, looking to recruit a new Aircraft Mechanic to join their team. They provide services to airlines, leasing companies and VIP customers worldwide from strategic locations and are supported by extensive in-house shop capabilities as well as materials and logistics services. This is a Permanent Position based in Brize Norton 5/5/4 shift working 7-7. The role of the unlicensed Aircraft Engineer requires performing aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with Technical Documentation & Company Procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out aircraft maintenance tasks as directed by their Hangar Foreman, SLE or LE, providing assistance to other staff (any trade) to ensure safe and effective working practices.
- Carrying out movement of heavy equipment, tooling and spares around the site. This may involve the use of forklift (training will be provided).
- Assisting with aircraft cleaning.
- Maintaining a clean working environment around the aircraft and facilities.
- Carrying out servicing of aircraft toilets on aircraft in maintenance.
- Containing any fuel and/or oil spillage.
- Assisting with aircraft manoeuvring requirements.
- Ensuring all waste products are separated and recycled as necessary.
- Ensuring the scissor lifts are on charge at the end of their shift and ensuring battery servicing is carried out.
- Addressing and reporting any safety concerns immediately.
- Ensuring that equipment is maintained in a serviceable, clean, tidy and safe condition, reporting any faulty equipment immediately using the correct channels.
In order to be successful in this role, the Aircraft Mechanic will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Aircraft experience (or in a comparable industry) or recognised aircraft apprenticeship.
- Good awareness of Aviation safety.
